SSRV recognises that anyone with Centrelink issues is likely to have financial struggles. We offer both Legal &/or Financial Counselling assistance when required.
Recognition & understanding of financial hardship is vital. Assisting clients in financial hardship can be life changing for individuals & their families.

What to expect when you contact SSRV
When you call SSRV, a staff member will speak to you about the reason for your call and may:
- book you for an appointment with a lawyer or financial counsellor, depending on your issue
- let you know that we will assess whether or not we will book you for an appointment (we may ask you to provide additional information as part of this assessment process)
- refer you to another service or agency
- provide information.
We are unable to provide financial counselling services when you first contact SSRV.
We welcome feedback and will deal with complaints in an open and fair way. In order to provide legal advice and assistance, we will need to ask you for some personal information. Protecting your privacy and personal information is an important part of how we manage our services. Social Security Rights Victoria has obligations and you have rights under privacy law.
