Social Security Debt Help

SSRV receives funding from the Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner Grants Program to deliver an online resource that helps people with Centrelink debts and overpayments. Building on what we learned developing DSP Help, SSRV has used a human-centred design process to develop a series of fact sheets.

Social Security Debt Help aims to help people understand Centrelink debts and overpayments, the options they have to address a debt, and where and how to get help if they or someone they know has a debt.

Centrelink debts can be complex. If you decide to challenge a debt there are risks you need to be aware of. We recommend seeking legal advice before challenging a Centrelink debt.
